Wisconsin Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association

The mission of the Wisconsin Driver Traffic Safety Education Association is to be a vital partner in traffic safety and driver education programs. This partnership will support the education community in improving student safety performance by modeling effective leadership, promoting professional development, and collaborating with special interest groups to promote driver and traffic safety education for all people.

Current: Teaching Driver Education at St. Croix Central and Northwood Technical College - Rice Lake.

Personal: Have two adult children, Adam 35 and Emily 32 and 2 Grandchildren - 1 yr and 5 yrs.

Current: Teaches Driver Education for Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College-Rice Lake for Spooner Area School District and Northwood School District-Minong

History: I have taught at the early childhood and kindergarten levels since 1993. I began in the driver education field while in Milwaukee Public Schools in 1995. I have experience as a program coordinator, in both early childhood and driver education, and was a school principal for five years.

Current: Driver Education program coordinator for the Oshkosh Area School District since November 2021. I teach classroom and behind the wheel at both Oshkosh North & Oshkosh West High Schools.

History: 16+ years in Traffic Safety and Driver Education working in both commercial and DPI Driver Training/Education programming. Secretary for WDTSEA since 2010. Many years as a high school special education teacher and as a disability accommodation specialist in higher education; several years as part-time adjunct faculty in the Wisconsin Technical College System in the Adult Basic Education and GED programs.

Current: Director - Driver Education at CESA 2, Member of the Dane County Traffic Safety Commission

Hobbies:Singing/music, bicycling, reading, spending time with family and friends

Career: Teaches Secondary Health and Driver Education at Gibraltar Area School District in Fish Creek for the past 28 years. Serves on the district's PBIS, Allies for Mental Health, and Wellness Committees. Former Cheerleading & Danceteam Coach, NHS and Peer Leader Advisor.

Personal: Married to Brad and has three sons: Solomon, Sam, and Liam.
